I have the AMD Radeon R9 290X.
For certain games(Overwatch, Doom, GTA-V, Assassins Creed Unity, and The Witcher 3 to name a few) the sound is good for a few minutes, and then suddenly there is a loud, bassy, popping noise, and then I have no sound. It's that, or the sound starts coming through only one speaker/is greatly reduced.
After that, I have about a minute or so of gameplay until the game just crashes altogether.
I've already tried uninstalling all drivers and reinstalling them, as well as unplugging all other audio devices except my speakers.
Has anyone else experienced this problem, and/or has a solution?
The speakers are plugged into the motherboard, and not the video card, as there is no port for them there, if that makes any difference.
This sounds like a Motherboard sound issue and unrelated to the graphics card which is not producing sound.
