Battlefield 1 issues since latest driver. (16.11.4)

Since the 16.10 drivers i have been unable to play battlefield 1 with directx12 enabled as it results in a directx GPU driver crash within seconds of joining a game, i was told on here to try running the game on directx11 which i did and it still resulted in crashes but these were at random times while in game, i was also advised to turn my post processing down to low which thankfully "fixed" the issue until i downloaded the latest drivers 16.11.4, my game now crashes at random intervals and informs me that the device has hung and i have to ctrl alt delete in order to get to my task manager to force close the game as someone who has just moved over from console to PC for the first time i am unsure as to whether it is normal to have all these issues with a new game and new components.

My set up is i5600 CPU, 16GB DDR4 RAM and a Sapphire Radeon R9 390 Nitro 8GB.

Any advice on how to resolve this issue will be greatly appreciated.
