    Graphical glitches

    lenschow

      Hello,

I have been having some issues with my RX 480 in some of the games I play. It's hard to explain exactly what it looks like because it's different in each game, so I have uploaded some videos.

In some games I can fix it by changing the settings, but not in all.
In GTV V it can be fixed by turning off tesselation. In Assassins Creed Black Flag it can be fixed by lowering god rays from high to medium. Those are the only two games I've been able to fix it in, and it doens't matter if everything else is on high or low.

I have tried several drivers and have used DDU in safe mode every time.

I have included clips from Steep Open Beta and GTV V (with and without tesselation)

I am really sorry, but it looks like your video card is faulty. Or your video driver is not properly installed , despite your cleaning procedure.

What card did you have before RX 480? When did you started to have this issues?

What version of win10 do you have? (use win+R>winver command to check it)

Is there any undetected devices in your device manager? Can you check your RAM for errors or remove half of it for experiment?

Can you update your motherboard BIOS to a last version?

Is there really no one who can help?

What help are you expect? Magical word or something like that?

Did you tried anything of that ,what i suggested.

If you want radical method, reinstall your OS and try your video card on another computer.

In worst case ,it looks like geometric (and tesselation) processing unit of your video card is faulty.

And you didn't answer any of my questions...

P.S. Do you have any overclocked hardware in your system?

I posted that before anyone answered, but it didn't get approved until after your answer, so please calm down.

I started happening after a driver update, it was running fine when I got it. I am in the process of trying those steps now.

My OS is Windows 10 Home 64bit, my system is not overclocked, there's no undetected devices in the device manager and I have already tested my RAM.

Oh and I was using a Sapphire R7 260x 2GB before buying this card.

And no, I do not expect some magical word or anything, I just wanted to see if someone smarter than me might have had some input before going so far as to do a RMA case. Except for the problems descripted, the games are still running smooth, so I wasn't sure if it was faulty or if it was just a driver issue or something like that.

I was rude a little. I am sorry

In addition to what i said ,you may try reinstall your card in PCI-e slot, check (or change) vga power cable, try another PCI-e slot and lower PCI-e version to 2.0.

P.S. Just saw it- "I started happening after a driver update, it was running fine when I got it"- Reinstall your OS! It is the fastest way in your case.

If your system is not overclocked, you should RMA your graphics card.

[Hell even if it IS overclocked...]
