connect the 6 pins or not?

my latest build is a MSI MOTHERBOARD 990FXA with a FX-8350 and crossfire enabled PowerColor RED DRAGON Radeon RX 460 which as i have  read  can run from only the mobo power. As the 460's draw only 75 watts. should i still connect the 6 pins?

          Yes!

The OEM boards had no 6-pin connectors. (for power saving features, I think...)

But, the aftermarket vendors use the 6-pin to power the fans. (I think...) and for a "More stable power source for overclocking". (from Powercolor web site)
