Quite an annoying piece of software, and totally unnecessary on my desktop. I'm running Windows 10. I tried deleting the executable (C:\Program Files\ATI Technologies\ATI.ACE\a4\AdaptiveSleepService.exe) but it just reappeared by itself. I also tried disabling the service, but it re-enables itself. I assume this is somehow related to my Radeon graphics card software, because I don't believe I have any other AMD hardware.
Even worse - Disabling Smart Sleep in the Radeon Additional Settings control panel does NOT disable Smart Sleep! This issue has caused many people to think their computers have been infected. AMD, why would you take over the sleep behavior of someone's computer and not ask or tell them beforehand?
