Firepro W4100-3 monitors. After Win 10 anniversary update, all windows move to primary screen after screen saver goes into effect.
Have downloaded 10/16 drivers, which I believe are the latest.
Adding our Firepro expert fsadough.
Please be more specific. What do you mean by all windows move to primary screen?
My three monitors are set to turn off after 20 minutes of inactivity. they really just goes to sleep--moving the mouse will wake them.
Sometimes, one of them randomly wake but the small monitor light will go on, I will have to turn the monitor of and then on to restore it. This never happens with the home screen, which always goes on.
When the monitors wake, all of the apps have moved to the home screen even if both other monitors have turned back on. I need to manually move the windows back to the other monitors. This same thing happens if I use a screen saver, the monitors haven’t gone to sleep, and I move the mouse to restore the screens.
The screens that have gone blank are always perfectly functional and the task bars work on them—they’ve just lost their programs windows, which have moved to the primary display.
What are the exact make and model of your monitors? This seems to be an EDID issue
My three monitors are Acer 223W. I’ve had them for many years, and I did not have this issue either with Win 7 or Win 10 – until I installed the Anniversary update.
