I will be one of the first in line =D
Take these rumors with a healthy dose of sodium. Vega 10 with HBM2 will launch this year
Maybe by Christmas.
Sent from my Samsung Galaxy smartphone.
Vega 10 should be launched later this year at a special event, which AMD PR already teased in a tweet, and be on shelves 1Q 2017 alongside Zen, which will launch at CES 2017 in January, with Vega 11 coming afterwards and a professional series "Magnum" board also either launching aide Vega 10 at its event or at CES.
Will the Zen make and difference to dx12 performance as it stands?
Zen will have IPC parity with Skylake or Haswell processors depending on how much optimization AMD is able to do before sending the final specs to the fab, but as DirectX 12 and Vulkan are designed to be much less CPU dependent, the performance difference between and FX and Zen processor in DirectX 12 games is going to depend on the game's coding.
Best info I've seen so far:
AMD Zen Benchmarks Leaked - 8 & 4 Core CPUs with 16 & 8 Threads Confirmed, Rated At 95W & 65W TDP
AMD Vega 10 Coming End Of 2016 With Powerful V9 Architecture, Vega 11 Due 1H 2017 - "Magnum" Board Debuting In November
I wish they would just tell everyone.. it is not an episode of Survivor or something
They have to save something for CES.
What does CES mean?
Consumer Electronics Show, it's the big event every year where all electronics companies show off their latest and greatest.
They should just release it.. So annoying.
There are no cards to release yet, so how could they release them?
So they say
So you think AMD is delaying the release of a card which trumps the GTX 1080 because...?
I noticed MSAA X 4 on the oculus desktop app..
Does this have any advantage with AMD Gpu?
not even sure what its purpose of being there is .. thought this was a dx12 feature.,
MSAA has been around for years and is handled by every API, not just DirectX.
When do you think we can see DX12 in VR.
I mean, by the looks of it they are all using the rubbish Unreal engine and probably the resolution will continue to stay low for the moment.
I think Vulkan will become the dominant VR API as it is not tied to Windows, and will allow much less expensive Linux based sets.
Yes but no async shading??
All manufacturers do this,PC's and everything else, cars etc...
Damn man! Looks like the odds are good of me sticking with AMD for my CPU. Can't wait to shed my FX-4200
It should. If it doesn't, a lot of AMD fans like myself are going to jump ship to Intel. After all, that would be a 4 year wait just to have them release outdated hardware.
