My fx8350 showing 4 cores only in windows 10. MSI 970a-g43 is my motherboard. what should i do?
Did you have a different CPU before on the same system or is this a whole new problem?
You could try clearing CMOS and see if that helps.
Also make sure all 8 cores (often described as compute units or modules of which there will only be 4 in bios) are enabled in your bios.
yes before i have AMD A10 cpu. i transfer my 1TB hard disk to my new FX 8350 build cpu. My new build desktop FX 8350 recognize and detects my old system so i did not reinstall my operating system. my operating system is windows 10
Do a CLEAN Install of Windows 10.
Where are you seeing this?Looking at this?
yes same program i use CPUZ-ID but we dont have same cores and threads, mine is 4 cores and threads only
A friend of mine had a similar problem when he did an upgrade to the CPU.
The long story to your issue is Windows 10 thinks the new processor is still a 4 core, 4 thread processor because that was your previous build.
If we upgrade Hardware such as Motherboard or CPU or HDD. A fresh install will always stop these issues from happening.
I know it can be a pain having to install Windows 10 and all your applications but that is your best choice and you will notice a difference from a fresh install.
