Latest Windows 10 update no longer finds my 2nd monitor.

    will24

      Hi

I have been running with 2 monitors for a while without problems. After the latest Windows update the system no longer recognizes the second Monitor (Sony)

      System info:

      HP 2207 on DVI- D

      Sony Bravia 48 on HDMI

      Radeon HD7800 , Crimson Radeon Software 16.9.2

      Windows 10 64 Bit

      Desk top i7-4770 CPU 3.46 *2

      Ram 16

When the system starts up I see the start up on both monitors. When windows starts  I lose the second monitor. (Sony) It does not detect the second monitor in settings/ Device Manager..

I've tried a number of things....including removing and re-installing the ADM drivers. ( both monitors work when I disable HD7800 and run off the Intel chip (at much reduced quality)

Window P for projection does nothing.

      Any suggestions?

      Will

Magic... I tried a number of things ...cleaning up windows. uninstalling and reinstalling drivers. Rebooting countless times. Nothing seems to work.

Then last reboot the system found the monitor and all is right with the world again. Wish I knew what solved the problem as I don't want to spend another 4 hours on this at some future date.
