Does anyone know how much L2 cache memory the rx 470 has? I believe the 480 has 2 MB and the 460 has 1 MB but I couldn't find any information on the rx 470!
I am not seeing anything calling out the cache size. Let's say it's between 1 and 2 MB
Dang, I can't find this information anywhere! I'm a student at university studying openACC and openCL and the algorithm I'm working on should theoretically only work (at least how I want it to work) with 2 Mb L2 cache! I'm also trying to be as cost efficient as possible or I'd just get a 480
Have you tried the support forums?
It has 2MB.
ASUS Radeon RX 470 STRIX OC 4 GB Review | techPowerUp
"The Polaris 10 silicon features 36 Compute Units (CUs). 32 of these are enabled on the RX 470, spread across four shader engines, each with a dedicated geometry processor, a raster engine, and two render backends. The four shader engines are supported by a large 2 MB L2 cache, which acts as the town-square for the GPU's various key components."
