I'm a Crux linux user and it goes hand in hand with being a Crux user that you compile your own kernel.
Based on some information I got here:
I went ahead and downloaded the 4.4.22 long-term support kernel, and I'm wondering if any AMD devs have any suggestions for what I should enable to make it work ideally with the AMDGPU-PRO driver. A run down of software requirements would be nice. Thanks for your help.
Testing continues on 4.4.22, I can get a console now and I can even run glxgears, albeit really slowly (an R9 Nano should be scoring some insane number over 20K, but I'm only getting 5K) however I'm currently unable to get X11 forwarding to work for GL windows, not sure what's going on there. I'll post my kernel config here later and some basic procedures.
