I have R9 and R7 appearing in display adapters. Did I upgrade my graphics card wrong?

Upgrading from a Radeon R7 250 to a Radeon R9 380X.

I found this after having problems with photoshop crashing on launch, and seeing the old card still in my radeon settings. The old graphics card seems to still be installed. Is this true and I can just right click and remove it? or is there a better way? I just want to be careful about removing things.
