I started to install a driver update for my video card.
The monitor screen went blank during the process and it has not come back.
Any help for a person who is not very computer savvy would be appreciated.
Unplug the monitor from the graphics card. Start the computer...wait a bit for everything to load, then plug the monitor back in. Or, start computer in safe mode, use system restore to a point before you installed the problem update.
INFORMATION REQUIRED WHEN POSTING A QUESTION
I would like to help out with details regarding which model of video card it is but I can't get the screen to work, that is the problem.
The computer is an HP desktop that I bought new about 6 months ago. It has Windows 10 and I do believe it is 64 bit. It was an automatic message that popped up and prompted me to do the update. If I remember correctly, is was an update to 15. something version and I do believe it said something about "Crimson"
I hope this helps.
Unplugging the monitor and restarting the computer worked.
Thanks for your help.
