Quick question, for 1 monitor (HDMI) input. Passive or Active mDP to HDMI adapter.
Either should work for 1-2 displays.
Thank you for this, would you mind taking a look at a post of mine. It should be searched as Hi All.
I'm have been having endless issues for over 2 weeks now, unsolved issues and quite frankly I am seriously starting to look at Nvidia.
If you don't mind that would be awesome.
My colleague fsadough is already helping you in your other thread.
Was the answer for the other thread not sufficient?
I'm sure you can understand my frustration after 2 weeks of constant hope of receiving some sort of display on the monitor and disappointment when all I get is a black screen. Recommended passive adapter tried and still nothing.Tried basically everything mention in the threads and no joy. I started a new thread in the hope that maybe, just maybe a new suggestion would be discovered. At what point would it be decided that the GPU is defective?.
U are more than welcome to RMA your card at anytime if you feel, u have a defective board. Have you tried the certified adapters I listed?
I'm just waiting for an active adapter to arrive, have tried the passive. If this does not work I will RMA the card. I'm in South Africa so I assume this would have to go through the merchant I purchased the card from.
Yes, try the active adapter first. If it doesn't work, try to replace the card through your merchant, otherwise through www.amd.com/warranty
Finally working with the active adapter. I really think AMD should add to the documentation which comes with the card what adapters are required for the number of monitors used 1 through 4 in my case. This would prevent a lot headaches.
Thank you for all your effort.
