BSOD with two GPU

Question asked by lupus-91 on Sep 17, 2016

Hi, I have two identical GPU, Sapphire R9 280x, and both function correctly if you connect one at a time.

As soon as I plug in both GPUs, with or without the CrossFire connection, Windows does not even get to the login screen.

Start a BSOD cycle with different errors, some are the following:

- SYSTEM_SETTINGS_EXCEPTION (dxgkrnl.sys)

- CRITICAL_PROCESS_DIED

- SYSTEM_THREAD_EXCEPTION_NOT_HANDLED (Atkmdag.sys)

I tried to install different versions of the drivers, the 16.4.1, the 16.73, also the beta 16.9.1. I also tried to reinstall Windows, but the problem has not been resolved.

I have the following configuration:

S.O.: Windows 10

CPU: AMD

MB: ASUS ASUS 990FX R2.0 sabertooth

RAM: Corsair Vengeance 1333MHz 4GB x2

SSD: Samsung 840 evo 250 gb

HDD: WD 1 Tera

PSU: Corsair RM 850i

GPU: 2x Sapphire R9 280x

Please help, I'm desperate!
