I have purchased HP 15 AB108AX laptop recently for gaming but, while gaming, application is using integrated gpu instead of dedicated gpu..
i updated all the drivers also then it is not working..
If you go into the BIOS, there should be a section for Switchable Graphics Mode. Change that to Fixed, then see if the gpu is picked up properly by games.
I would also recommend contacting HP, as the system builder. We'll try our best to help you but the manufacturer will know more than us.
I would be careful with doing that, if the GPU is burned out or something then they wont be able to see the boot screen or any screen at all. I might be wrong.
it should still let him back into BIOS, the switch should be done after POST routine
thanks for replying
there is no option for switching of graphics in BIOS
and HP customer support refused to help in this issue
any other solution?
they flat-out refused to do tech support for their own product? vote with your wallet, that's disgusting behavior
Take a look at the information in this how-to, and let us know how you get on. Thanks
Download GPU-Z and see what it says for your graphics. Also, what shows up under your Windows system properties?
energy settings -> HIGH Performance mode
should fix it
