Overdrive setting reset

Question asked by gammagecko on Sep 4, 2016

Hello guys!

I hope this is the right place for this question.

I've got an AMD FX-6300 processor on a Gigabyte 970A-DS3P Motherboard, running Windows 10.

A few days ago I installed AMD Overdrive to try out a bit with overclocking. I used the automatically overclocking feature and my system got boosted by the new settings.

But after a few minutes of running I noticed that my CPU Cooler can't handle the temperature of my CPU.

So i tried to reset all changes, done by Overdrive. But in Overdrive I couldn't reset. So I deinstalled Overdrive, hoping it would help, but nothing happens.

I also reseted my BIOS, but in the end my CPU is already running with 3,8-4,1 GHz by starting any game, while my Cooler can't handle this.

So my question is: how can I reset all the changes, done by Overdrive to get the normal CPU frequency back?

I hope that someone here can help me!

So thanks for your answers!
