    Whats wrong with my gamma?

I have just bought myself a new Radeon R9 380 and all of my graphics setting were changed. That was to be expected, but the problem is the gamma is way to high. Like to high I cant see the lines or even some text on this page. This is really really frustrating. One might assume I would take just a few seconds to just CHANGE the gamma manually by right clicking the desktop and clicking Screen Settings, then Advanced, then color calibration. But when I change the gamma, it changes the screen for probably less than a second then back to the original. I have tried downloading 3rd party gamma changing programs to no avail. Now considering this is my first radeon card, I don't know if this post fits in here or in the display settings, so please help me out on where to go to solve this.
