Rhinoceros 5 for Windows 64bit lauching problem due to AMD driver

Hello folks,


I just signed up here in the AMD support forums in order to get some help with a problem I am dealing with and I hope someone can provide me some aid.


My system:

  • AMD Graphics Card
    • AMD Radeon R7 M260
  • Desktop or Laptop System
    • Dell Inspiron 5547
  • Operating System
    • Windows 8.1 64bit
  • Driver version installed
    • 16.30.2511.1001-160811a-305723E   /  Catalyst Version: 15.8
  • Display Devices
    • Dell standard 15.6 inches 1920x1080 @60hz
    • I don't know how to find the exact name of it
  • Motherboard
    • Dell Inc. 0K5C1C
    • Intel Core i7 4510U

Power Supply Unit  Make, Model & Wattage

    • Don't know
  • RAM
    • 16GB



Description of my issue:


I'm a designer and work with different CAD programs such as SolidWorks, Autodesk Alias, Inventor, KeyShot and, finally Rhinoceros. I just installed Rhinoceros 5 for Windows 64bit: Download - Rhino 5


The problem occured right at the beginning, when I double-click the launching icon followed by an error message:



I have sent a report of the error to McNeal, Rhino's developer. The answer was the following:






Thank you for sending in the crash report.  The information in the report indicates the crash was caused by the ATI Technologies Inc. OpenGL video driver (atio6axx).


If you can repeat this crash, please email the Rhino 3dm file and a detailed description of what you do to make the crash happen to


If you cannot repeat this crash and feel comfortable updating video drivers, you may want to see if ATI Technologies Inc. has provided a newer version.

Now I don't have a clue of what to do since my ATI Radeon drivers are the most up to date possible:
