hdmi audio

Question asked by scottyw on Aug 22, 2016

So I'm having a problem (more like a missing feature).

First, I should probably describe my setup

Windows 10 // i7 2600k // 8GB Ram // Sapphire R9 290 4GB Vapor-X (with 2xDVI-D, 1xHDMI, 1xDP)

I have 2 monitors connected by DVI, and a home theater connected to the HDMI (HT Receiver passes video through to a TV)

Before Crimson (and possibly before Windows 10, I can't recall) I was able to use my 2 DVI monitors, as well as play audio through the HDMI output.

After Crimson, if I have both monitors selected, my HDMI audio selection is no longer available.

I just can't remember if this was an option in the old Catalyst and is missing in Crimson, or if the feature has been removed all together.

Any help would be fantastic, because it's kind of annoying to be able to use my speaker system with one monitor only.

My other option would be to use my Optical connection on my mobo for the audio, but I'd like to see if someone knows how to do so with the HDMI as it's already wired up this way.

Thanks for your time!
