RX 480 fan often jumping 20rpm or more during load

I'm starting to have a very annoying issue with my reference 480 card now, and I have no idea why because it did not do this when I purchased the card.

If is start a game of DOOM the rpm's will stay within 5rpm at all time, but once I'm on a new level or match the rpm will often jump 20rpm up or down at a time, usually once every 3 to 5 seconds and it gives the fan an annoying sound profile.

So my first match was totally normal, the second one the sound profile is way different with the rpm, i've been closely looking at wattman. And the thermals stay within spec, max of 82c.

I have tried different drivers, I have used DDU as well. I have tried undervolting and upping the powerlimit, but I always get the same issue.

What's going on with this card? If i can't figure this out I have to sell it because this is not the correct way the fan is suppose to run.
