I have a ViewSonic vx2268wm. It's a 120hz monitor, but I can't get it to run at 120hz with the new RX480. I'm using a DisplayPort ~> DVI-D cable, but I'm not being given the option to run at 120hz. What do I need to do to get running in 120hz?
You would need to be using an active displayport to DVI adaptor that supports 120Hz not passive.
Hey, amdpete. I took your advice but windows 10 x64 still doesn't want to show 120hz available, but I think I know the issue and want to double check. I uninstalled and reinstalled the drivers to 16.8.2, and nothing. I'm using a ViewSonic VX2268WM for a monitor along with the XFX RX480 8g card. The DVI cord I'm using is a dual link DVI-I connector and I purchased an active displayport to ~~>single link<~~ DVI-D adapter. Sapphire 100924 Active DP to SL-DVI-D. Should that adapter be working just fine?
Update. The part number on the bag reads "P/N:CA00112-R0" and the barcode is "44ws142804922". Hope that helps.
