When I Install crimson drivers on my laptop it freezes and bootloops , but thanks to win 10 I recovered my pc. SPECS ARE R7 M260 AND HD 8610G WITH ENDURO. 8 GB RAM AND AMD A10 CPU.
I am having the same issue. My laptop is an MSI GX30BE running an AMD A10-5750 APU with a Radeon 8650G/HD8970M card.
Whenever I try to update my drivers via the newest available Windows Update, my computer will go into a reboot loop during boot, and force me to recovery to an earlier recovery from just before the update.
Only older drivers apparently work for this old(er) laptop, none of the newer Crimson edition drivers/software seem to be compatible, so I've been running driver 15.201 for quite a while now. It's just this newest AMD update that Windows Update is trying to force on me that's causing issues
I seem to have found a temporary workaround, by disabling that specific update via https://support.microsoft.com/en-ca/kb/3073930#bookmark-1607 and downloading the "Show or hide updates" troubleshooter package. After a few minutes/restarts, the update in Windows Update disappears and stops trying to force it on you.
I also have the problem. I reported a driver bug on AMD's Website and maybe they will fix it. I somehow updated my R7 M260 to crimson but my hd 8610g stops working.
With laptop APU's...you don't update the discrete card. You update the APU driver which drives both graphics.
It's not a bug..it's just the way LAPTOP APU's work.
Your drivers > Legacy
I tried to install this loong before and the same thing happened.
The thing that I am installing this is because GTA V does not run on the discrete graphics chip , I gotta nice rig , but If i fix this I can play most games on the go.
Somehere to help ???
I have the same problem with i7-4702MQ + R7 M265, windows 10 pro, Lenovo G510. Nothing installs, but the driver from lenovo's page (crimson 15.2).
