I recently had Windows 10 install itself onto my 6-year old desktop computer. It worked smoothly for a few days, but now I am getting a Windows 10 BSOD with a DPC Watchdog Violation every time my desktop computer is idle for a few minutes. This just crashes the computer and requires me to restart.
Thinking I need to update drivers for my AMD Athlon II x4 645 Processor or NVIDIA GeForce GTS 450 Graphics Card. Where can I get the AMD drivers? Any other ideas why I am getting these frequent crashes?
CPUs do not have drivers (with the exception of chips with GPUs and the driver is just for the GPU). Motherboards have chipset drivers. It would depend what motherboard it is as to the drivers for it.
