@Intel Media SDK GStreamer elements recently released by Intel

Video editing and video codecs are one of the chief drivers for GPGPU usage in the desktop market today.

Gstreamer is one of the premiere open source video streaming framworks.

Intel just released GStreamer plugins that leverage Intel CPUs and iGPUs via their Media SDK.

We really need something comparable from AMD. As previously posted, RX 480 has

new H.265 encode/decode capabilities. Making it easier for developers to leverage

these features will enable more applications to be built targeting AMD's superior compute capabilities,

thereby selling more AMD cards.


Perhaps someone from AMD can comment on these issues.............
