I want the best video quality possible from Catalyst. I don't care about performance. I don't want any interlacing etc.

Depends what type of video it is which is why there are presets. There is no one set of settings that fits every scenario. Some movies are shakey from hand held sources and some are not for example.
I'm trying to know the best preset in Catalyst only but not Crimson because it gives me very bad looking interlacing no matter which profile. All video enhancements in Catalyst are set to maximum level. Even with these settings, there is still interlacing. I need the best settings for the least interlacing.
I don't have that anymore, but I think that has to do with your "Quality" setting. Set it to Balanced or normal or custom or whatever they call it, and you can change them if you wish. "Quality" means the highest settings...regardless of the FPS hit.
Use the Demo mode when a video is playing and try the different presets to see which is better.
