I've been getting really bad FPS drops recently (not sure if it's the new drivers). FPS drops from 60 FPS down to around 5 FPS. These results were taken from Rainbow Six Siege. The FPS drops stays for awhile (around 1-2 minutes) before it returns to normal. I believe it could be some sort of power throttling going on as the Activity meter drops down to around 5% when the FPS drops occur. GPU Clock and Memory Clock also drop down to default clock rates when this happens.
Driver version is: 16.3.2
OS: Windows 10 64-bit
Motherboard: AsRock Z77 PRO4-M
Processor: Intel Core i5-3570K
Graphics Card: Radeon HD 7970 3GB
Memory: 2x4GB Corsair Vengeance 1600 MHz
I've completed a system integrity scan and fixed corruptions and have also re-installed the drivers using DDU method.
Some people tell me its throttling to a low power state. I've had no issues with this game in the past.
