O.O I need to do something research now... Tys mate
I like the name.
I am excited!!!! AMDRedTeam
There's an article about it here OC3D :: Article :: AMD Shows off their Polaris RX 480 GPU running DOOM at 1440p 144Hz :: AMD Shows off their Polaris RX…
I can't wait to see final product as well as Zen CPU. My current machine need's some upgrades... I mean like yesterday as too late.
Same here. I love my little R7 360, but I'm getting tired of tweaking games to run at 1080p with acceptable frame rates. Don't get me wrong, its a little power house at $99, but I want more....lol
Tomorrow on 5/31 is the live web stream for us to get the official low down on the new line. Hope I have time to watch at work.
Hopefully it lives up to all the hype.
Reviewers have signed an agreement in Macau with the NDA and will expire on June29th
So release date will be 29th June ? I hope.
What will be the purpose of that particular NDA ?, don't tell me they wont give us specs or any information on the livestream today .. I'm so confused by your picture
The NDA is for reviewers who are going to do reviews of the Polaris GPU. They do not have the right to disclose any information until June 29th. Meaning that most likely at the end of June we will see something regarding this new GPU.
That's right silly me, now I feeling blue
The Wall St Journal reports that AMD Will unveil VR capable GPU'S priced at $199. That's crazy low price if true. amdredteam
If that's true than around where I live it will cost around 260-280 euro. That's a bit higher than I expected but I'll probably find money for that. If not than 380 will probably take it's place.
Holy smokes, if it's that much of a difference I will buy one for you and ship it to you. That's a ridiculous price difference. Where in the world do you live?
feverstriker Heh, nice thought but I think (and hope) it won't be necessary. Not to mention that I would not want to "use" someone like that.
I live in Slovakia, it's small country in the middle of Europe and the price difference is there on every single PC component. Some of them are plain ridiculous... for example I saw card on PC part picker (shows price of multiple vendors) on average about 400$ and local shops were selling them for more than a 1000 euro with discount label. It's like from an another world.
And the best part on that is the average salary. Many people make like 400 euro a month working hard. Country's average is around 600. Thank God that I have more or less a good job where I work hard but I make more than average. I am hoping to keep it that way.
Yeah, now that I think about it, the same thing was happening when I lived in Ukraine before I moved to the States. If you needed awesome tech then you better be ready to dish out major cash since most of the shops gouged the price pretty high. Even now that I am here, because of how hard it is to find the tech I sometimes have to ship stuff to my cousin who needs upgrades simply because he can't find the stuff locally or its way overpriced.
I hope you get to keep your job too bud. Stay safe!!!
feverstriker Thank you.
Yeah, they just want to make a living. There is nothing we can do about it and it will never change. It's in a human nature to look for the best deal (on both sides) and when people are buying they will never change.
Sometimes in the future, I would be interested in a few private messages about your experiences with the shipping from abroad if you could find some free time. I was on multiple occasions thinking about buying something from USA or Japan but it just seemed too complicated and I had no one to give me some tips so I never actually did it. I am not planning to buy anything like that right now but maybe in a future... It would probably not be worth it (shipping costs and so on) for an single item anyway. But we could solve that some other time in private if you would want to just to keep this topic clean from offtopic posts.
3 hours and counting. Where's the best place to watch the live stream at?
Probably via youtube/twitch
AMD Live at Computex 2016 - YouTube
AMD Computex 2016 Live Stream - Watch Polaris and Bristol Ridge Updates Here
If it's streamed on Twitch that'd be the best place for me. Thanks. :-)
Apparently it will be on Youtube, if there is another update I'll update the answer post.
Well, I am very interested in this card. Seems like an amazing product ESPECIALLY at that $200 price point.
Can't wait to see Benchmarks. Thanks for sharing.
I feel like the hype is real.
The D-DAY is almost upon us. Are you ready?
This has been the longest month ever! I'm waiting with anticipation over here.
Is it the 29th yet?
I'm ready to see all the reviews and benchmarks, but my pocket until next year won't be ready.
derrickgott007 soon, soon...
teckem Yeah, I know what you mean. I am in the similar situation but I was preparing for it so now it looks like I will be able to invest in it. I guess I will know next month for sure.
@william Congrats for making it possible.
teckem Thank you but it's still not 100%, I'll still have to wait for some things to clear out but it looks promising. I can't even imagine the difference between my Gigabyte HD4670 1GB (128) DDR3 and RX 480/470/460. If things go bad than I'll probably get R9 380 when my pocket will be ready as I was planning few months ago. But if I can I will definitely rather get / wait for something from the RX series. I guess time and money will tell what I can afford.
