Do I have to use the mini-displayport to DVI adapters with the ATI FirePro 2460 low profile, or can I use a displayport to 4xHDMI adapter to output to four TVs?

I already have the ATI FireMV 2240 and it has two full size displayports, but the computer craps out when I try to connect the displayport to 4HDMI adapter and catalyst crashes. It won't actually open until I disconnect two of the HDMI TVs. On the other hand, the Windows loading screen is displayed across all four TVs with that card.

I'm thinking of buying the above mentioned 2460 if it will solve my problem, but the description seems to say you can connect up to four monitors using the DVI to mini-displayport adapters--no mention of anything else.

Am I SOL, or will this work?
