It says it all in the subject line. I downloaded the recommended AMD Firepro driver from the Dell site, and the top of every window goes off the screen.
It sounds like you might need to adjust the overscan settings.
Please provide more information about your system, for example what OS and display are you using?
INFORMATION REQUIRED WHEN POSTING A QUESTION
OS is Win 7 Pro 64 bit. Main display is Samsung SyncMaster 214T, connected via VGA. Monitor #2 is ViewSonic VA720, and does not have this problem.
Computer is Dell Precision T5610. Current driver is AMD 22.214.171.124. Video Card is ATI-102-C31901 (B), but Device Manager tells me it is AMD FirePro 2270.
I cannot find "overscan" adjustments in the utilities.
The desktop looks fine, with everything spaced correctly. When I open a program or a file, that window opens with the top off screen. If I maximize a window, the top goes off screen. If I try to manually resize the window, it expands with the top off screen when I drag the bottom close to the status bar.
Overscan feature works only on digital connections and not on analog (VGA)
