    16.13.2 download failing

    dreamwheasler

4 attempts to download have failed.

(I have now done some research, but need advice)

An AMD email I received says that "Radeon Software Crimson Edition 16.3.2 has been released for Windows®".

An AMD Automatic Download has given me 16.15.2211 WHQL and/or 16.15.2111 Beta. (as seen in Radeon Settings)

      Currently Installed = 15.301.1201

      HERE IS WHAT HAPPENS:

The download is loaded and Install begins,

My screen goes black with the cursor pointer frozen in place at screen's center.

It stays that way for hours (I let it sit . . . waiting). This is the same for all 4 download attempts.

The only way to Restart is to choose a Restore Point.

      WHAT NEEDS TO BE DONE?

      ----------------------------------------------------------------------

Do I uninstall the old software (due to Catalyst becoming Crimson)?

Do I turn off Firewall and anti-virus software when installing the new software/divers?

      Is it something completely different?

      MY STUFF:

hp 15 Notebook PC > AMD A6-5200 APU w/ Radeon HD Graphics CPU

                                      > Radeon HD 8400 / R3 series Chipset

                                      > Radeon Crimson 16.1 Software

                                      > Windows 10 64bit

      ----------------------------------------------------------------------

I am a home user, with a moderate understanding of computers.

The AMD CPU and software came pre-loaded on the computer.

      I updated to Windows 10 from the pre-installed Windows 8.1 (kinda rather I hadn't).

      Thanks for any help folks!
