Hi, is there any way to get crossfire to work for mechwarrior online? I have a pair of R9 Nano but crossfire is not working in mechwarrior online. Its working in Ashes of the Singualrity, 3Dmark and unigine though.
Heyyo, doing some digging around? The game and AMD's crimson drivers sadly don't officially support crossfire in MWO, but I did find this community tweak that should get it working for you hopefully. Give it a try!
MWO: Forums - Crossfire Users - Look Here!
That's helpful, thank you.
sadly, thats only helpful if your running catalyst control center and NOT crimson. perhaps I should just roll back my new 1440, 144Hz monitor is on its way and I'm hoping to stretch the legs of my 2 x 290 x's by pumping xfire through MWO...any other thoughts would be helpful here......
Why does that only apply to Catalyst? You can do exactly the same thing in Crimson.
Sure, you can, but for whatever reason, it does not work, it will not "force" crossfire even when you choose and create a profile, I can do this, but it does nothing but jitter, massively. I have been trying to work with the Dev's for the game and it just won't work. I have been at a stand still for a long time on this issue. I will happily try it again. It is likely more associated with the game than anything, because my cards work great outside of it. I'm just frustrated not AMD's fault, but a nice little profile would be nice, I recognize that, probably, not enough people asked for one, so I am using my voice here as well. It was my choice to go for a dual card solution, and it was a poor one so far. I wanted to stay red team and I saw nothing the equal of the larger green team cards in a single form factor so I went with 2 x the best red available at the time, assuming it would work for me, it did/does not.
catalyst allows you to "force" crossfire, crimson does not, the button was removed, even if you tell it to use a specific profile and add the mwo.exe it does not work for me, on the many different tries I have had, only on one, did the needle ever move for the second card, and then, only in catylyst, not crimson.
Try updating To Crimson 16.5.2 and adding the application to Radeon Settings and under AMD CrossFire mode, choosing a custom or existing CrossFire profile.
