"No display currently connected" on laptop

My Toshiba Satellite P50-b laptop has a dedicated AMD Radeon R9 M200X graphics card which has been disabled since updating to windows 10. Upon searching through the settings I found a message in the display section reading "No display currently connected to AMD products", even though the display I'm using is built-in. There is no problem with the hardware from the looks of it so I think the card just isn't detecting the screen for whatever reason. I currently have the 16.4.1 software version but I've had this problem for the last couple of months and have been updating regularily. Does anyone else have this problem?

To clarify, before the update from windows 8.1 to 10 the card was connected and worked perfectly, this problem began the instant I updated.
