I accidentally removed AMD Catalyst Control Center 1.00.0000, how can I get it back? I have AMD Radeon HD 7640G + HD 7600M Dual...
Hope you can help me out with this!
Thank You in advance!
What APU ?
What OS ?
I don't know what APU is, but the OS is Windows 10. :-)
Easiest way would be to run Windows Update.
Do I get the Control Center back then? :-)
Download DDU, extract it and run it. Follow the prompt to restart in safe mode and click Clean and Restart. Run Windows Update and it should download and install the driver and Catalyst Control Center.
I got the Catalyst Control Center, so do I have the driver as well? But then I lost the manager thingy... How can I get that back again, too? :-)
The Windows Update driver is installed in the background without running the install manager, but the driver is installed too.
So I don't need the Catalyst Install Manager? I had 3.0.864 before, I think...
As long as you can access Catalyst Control Center and everything is working okay on your system then no.
Oh, okay! :-) The only problem is that I can't open the Start menu now, and Microsoft Edge is gone... I also can't get to Windows Update... I have to press the Microsoft flag + R to get there!
I've had the issue with the Start Menu stop working before, I was able to resolve it by using System Restore.
How do I do that without losing anything? Sorry, I don't know anything about these things... I know some computer stuff, but not about this! Maybe I should buy a new comp instead! lol
System Restore will just move your system back to an earlier time before the issue with the start menu occurred. If that fails to work, you might need a clean install, or to reset or refresh Windows 10. More information here.
I apologise, but I'm not sure of any other way to correct the Start Menu bug.
