I haven't needed the USB 3.0 capability for quite some time.
I just needed to copy a HD using a USB 3.0 Hard Drive dock.
Somewhere in the remote stretches of updates, etc my USB 3.0 became USB 2...
When they worked at all.
I contacted Microsoft and got this:
Run the Hardware Troubleshooter
It didn't help...
They also suggested:
I also suggest you to download and install all the drivers including motherboard and chipset drivers from the manufacturer’s website and check if it helps to resolve the issue.
I used your Detector to make sure I got the right ones for my AMD APUs.
Downloaded amd-catalyst-15.7.1-win10-64bit.exe and installed.
USB 3.0 not working still.
On the AMD dialog box it was stated:
Chipset drivers are not included in this package. To download chipset drivers, visit Chipset Drivers.
Unfortunately I haven't found a Detector for Chipset Drivers.
I have erroneously installed incorrect drivers in the past.
I am loathe to repeat that experience and the subsequent workarounds to fix it...
Please help me find the correct Chipset Drivers and if needed the installation method.
I really need to use the USB 3.0 super speed data transfer to be able to copy the very large hard drive within my lifetime!
