I downloaded from this page:
Chipset Which is where the Windows 10 64 bit drivers are.
The only other item on the page was for RAIDXPert Utility.
I didn't see any other downloads.
I may have missed it...
A note, there were AMD USB filter drivers in the download so I may have to look at other aspects of the USB issue.
I just looked at the Device Manager/USB controllers/USB Root Hub/USB Root Hub Properties/Power Tab.
Under Hub information:
The hub is self powered.
Total Power Available: 500 mA per hub available.
Under Attached Devices there is an entry that notes:
Description: Power Required
USB Composite Device 500 mA
4 ports available 0 mA
Odd that it shows 4 ports when there are only two USB 3 and one USB 2.
I'm wondering if the 500 mA next to the USB Composite Device is the problem?
The external USB HD dock is self powered so it doesn't draw power, but if the 500 mA is somehow being used then would that prevent the USB 3 from working?
Additionally the HD Dock shows up in the Device Manager/Disk Drives but not in the USB area!
When I plug in the dock I get an audible indication but I can't see it in Explorer.
I performed a Hardware Trouble check in the Startup.
The program gave me an error code:
USB Failure ID: 9TXE22-6GW83A-RXG30K-8D2E03
This is an HP Pavilion g7 so I suspect that no one will have any help for me here...
If you are familiar with it, please leave me a note.
