Make AMD your default graphics card

    justic

My laptop dell 15 5000 have two graphics cards : Intel HD graphics 5500 and 4096MB ATI AMD Radeon R7 M265 Series.

My default card set to intel hd but I just want to set default on amd. And I dont find any funcion to make it default. When I  instaled AMD drivers I only find that "AMD Radeon R7 M265 disabled" . And there are nothing to change that!

Update the Intel drivers in order to get the AMD card to function properly (regardless of how weird it might sound).Unfortunately very few laptops allow Optimus/Switchable graphics to be toggled on or off,in your case you cannot disable the intel GPU,because that gpu is the one displaying things on the screen.

Please provide more information so we can help.

It's normal for the GPU to show as disabled in Radeon Settings.

To configure an application to use the discrete GPU you need to open Radeon Settings > Preferences > Additional Settings.

In CCC Slim, navigate to Switchable Graphics Application Settings. This area will allow you to select which 3D application uses the Integrated GPU or the High Performance GPU. Add the application to CCC and select High Performance Mode to ensure that the High Performance GPU is used. Note, it is recommend to have the laptop plugged in and Windows configured to High performance mode in the Control Panel > Power options to ensure you get the best possible performance.
