GPU doesn't show up in device manager anymore

Question asked by keinstar on Mar 31, 2016

Hi all,

I am encountering a problem regarding the switchable graphics on HP Envy 15t-3200 CTO. My graphics were working fine (I believe) until the last few days, I noticed some FPS lags during League of Legends gameplay. I checked my device manager and noticed that AMD HD 7700M device doesn't show up anymore.

Here are my computer configuration:

Windows 10 Home 64-bit

Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-3610QM CPU @ 2.30GHz

RAM: 8GB

Intel(R) HD Graphics 4000

AMD HD Raedeon 7750M 1GB

Here are somethings that I tried to fix the problem (but didn't work):

- Checked any video memory failure using HP hardware diagnostic tools. It didn't seem to detect any problem.

- Uninstalled all GPU drivers (including crimson, and intel HD graphics driver).

- Reinstalled GPU drivers

Nothing worked. My device just doesn't show up on the list of device manager anymore. Would that be a hardware failure? or would it be a software problem? (I think there was a major windows 10 update a few days ago as well!)

I'm hoping for any solution. Much appreciated!
