my processor is fx8350 black edittion and my mobo is ga970-ds3p. PSU:corsair cs650m i want to go for a full amd build by getting an radeon gpu so i need to know which gpu will be a good investment .
Get the 290X if you can afford it, especially for newer titles. If you mainly play mainly older games, the 280X can be a cheaper alternative.
what about 390?
don't get amd,the driver system is horrible, and the customer support won't help you with anything. get nvidea and save yourslef
Riight, wasn't Nvidia the one who released the 364 set of drivers wreking havoc among it's customers?
What is your budget?
What games will you be playing?
What resolution are you using?
Do you like Ultra settings in games or don't mind compromising on a few lower settings?
mybudget is 30,000 rs i will be playing 1080p
will do a bit of low level rendering of game play videos
as far as ultra settings are concerned i dont mind turning of a few settings but i desire a smooth framerate throughout with moderate video quality
I would look at either an R9 380X or an R9 390X. Alternatives and about 10% slower than both of those cards would be the R9 380 or the R9 390.
i do wantto go with 390x but its 40k and my 650 w so i wonder if it could handle a 390x
650W should be enough for any of the recommended GPUs.
If you can't stretch to a 390X then go for a R9 390.
ok thank you
stick with the R9 390 over the 390x. it's honestly not worth the price jump for 5% performance gain. not only that... chances are you can overclock the R9 390 to match the performance of the R9 390x. I went with the MSI R9 390 Gaming 8G and its been working like a charm for me! maxes most of my games out with ease on 1080p. i have it overclocked 1125mhz core / 1600mhz mem, stock voltage, +50% power limit. default fan profile (Doesn't spin until 60+c) and the highest temp i've seen was about 74c with only 44% fan speed. so its pretty quiet also. Another good brand would be Sapphire, but just make sure you have room with that card as its literally 12 inches long...
