With the latest crimson there is no setting to choose to override the application anisotropic setting.
It used to have the same choices as the anti-aliasing override. When the anisotropic filtering tab is selected no choices are available.
I would try using DDU to sweep your system of AMD drivers and perform a fresh install of Crimson 16.3.2.
We'd like to help, but you have not provided any information.
Here's what you should see, and clicking that black box will enable the Override settings.
That is the exact problem when the box is clicked nothing happens.

Yes that fixed the issue thank you. I had up to now used the AMD cleanup tool when uninstalling and reinstalling drivers. I guess the AMD cleanup tool is not working as it should.
