    Asus N56DP laptop brightness problem

    marat256

Hello, I have been having this issue since the release of Windows 10, since July. I keep having this issue where I can't adjust my brightness. The screen just stays mid dim no matter what I do. When I try to adjust the brightness, the slider goes up and down, but the screen doesn't change. I have tried modify the registry, also tried to update and reinstall drivers. The only solution that I have found, is that using the Microsoft Basic Display adapter. The Brightness adjustment starts to work, but using these drivers really messes up the proformance when using YouTube or other high resolution content. I have seen in forums that installing a Generic PNP monitor would fix the issue, but it didn't do anything for me. Here are the specifications for my laptop. Please help me. Thank you.
