    Plays.tv client: error message


      When I boot my computer or change user, I receive the error message:

      "The Plays.tv client is already running. Please exit from the currently running plays.tv.exe and try again." (attachment)

      This started, yesterday March 07, 2016 after an automatic AMD driver update.

      I have not tried to use the Plays.TV program.


      Visiontek Radeon HD6350 1GB memory (Half height board, Required, and uses Less than the 25 watt motherboard limit on the PCIe16 slot)

      HP Compaq 8200 Elite SFF PC - Desktop  240 Watt Power supply

      Windows 10 Professional 64 bit

      Driver currently installed:  non-whql-64bit-nieg-radeon-crimson-16.2-win10-win8.1-win7-feb23     320,770 KB

      Monitor  Acer H243H  23.8" at 1920x1080

      Board: Hewlett-Packard 1495

      Intel i5-2400 @3.1Ghz (dual core)

      8GB ram, 1TB HD.

      General home use. I am Not a much of a gamer.


      More background:

      I had NO problems until Yesterday's update.

      When I tried to change user, restart, or shut down, the computer would hang. After several minutes I shut down the computer with the power button.

      When I turned it back on I received the error message above (see attachment).

      Today I updated my drivers from those supplied on the original manufacturer's disk, to:


      This seems to solve the hang-up on restart, shutdown and change user (I tried each once before this post), but not the error message just before the desktop  finishes loading.

      A Restart seems to take much longer than before.
