I need a Windows 2000 driver for a Sapphre ATI Radeon HD 5570 video card with part number 299-3E142-310SA.
The card has this on a label:
HD5570 1G DDR3 PCI-E HDMI/DVI-I.VGA
The earliest Windows drivers for this product are only available for Windows XP.
There are no Windows 2000 drivers available.
Thank you very much for this information.
I downloaded what I think is the correct driver package (14-4-xp32-64-dd-ccc-pack3). I copied it to my destination system and executed the file to unpack it. In the directory it created I found a setup.exe file. I tried to execute it but was greeted with "setup.exe is not a valid Win32 application".
I did find what looked like it may be display drivers in a subfolder (packages/drivers/display). This folder had two subfolders, XP_INF & XP_6A_INF. Not sure how to proceed from here.
Any thoughts would be much appreciated.
What happens if you manually try to install the XP drivers through device manager? I remember back when I had Windows 2000 (which is still the best OS Microsoft ever made) I had to use the XP drivers for pretty much everything.
