The system is a Desktop HP EliteDesk 800 G1 Tower installed with Windows 7 64bit SP1 all updates and an MAK licence.
Intel Core i5 @3.4Ghz + 8GB RAM.
Microsoft Office 2013 is installed and fully updated. This suite includes "Skype for Business" which is the next generation of "Microsoft Lync".
If I update my AMD drivers to the latest version, then Lync will not sign in and freezes on start-up, so I have installed older drivers, and Lync works again.
Somebody else has also reported this exact same problem on the forums and was told that the latest drivers had been patched. But sadly they have not, and the problem still exists.
I have also recently installed/dual-booted this PC with Windows10 and 7 have the same problem with WIndows 10.
However, Windows10 does not have any `old` AMD drivers that I can install to work around this problem.
I hope this helps, please advise if you require any more information.
I'm quite surprised that nobody has offered any help regarding this, which is a shame.
Seems I am left with one option but to replace all AMD cards with NVidia cards from any desktops that I intend to upgrade across Europe..
After downloading more recent drivers "Non-WHQL-64Bit-Radeon-Software-Crimson-16.3-Win10-Win8.1-Win7-March9.exe" Lync will now start and login on Windows 10.
