I've got a new HP All in One PC , Windows 10. It came with the Graphics AMD R7 A360. Just today I was prompted by AMD to update. This went smoothly enough, but then I got a couple of onscreen alerts that " AMD graphics has stopped working but has recovered". When I checked Device Manager and Display Adapter I noticed that the AMD Graphics was renamed R7 M360 instead of R7 A360 (which was originally installed).
I thought that this was a hardware model description and shouldn't be changed. Given that I had these "stopped working" messages should I just rollback to the earlier driver? Otherwise everything is working OK, but I am just unsure what this update has done.
Also can anyone tell me what the "A " and "M" prefixes mean?
Thanks for any advice.
What driver are you using at the moment? The R7 A360 is the desktop version of the R7 360 mobility graphics card, so i would not worry too much about that.
