Displayport 1.2 splitter

Question asked by on Feb 4, 2016

I have i5 and 2x Sapphire R9 270's and I'm trying to split the displayport 1.2 to 3x AOC G2460P 144Hz monitors. I can't get all three displays to enable at the same time. From what I've found, I am maxing out the Displayport 1.2 cable bandwidth with just two monitors running at 144Hz. Setting the resolution and refresh rate of the monitors doesn't change the bandwidth usage to allow more monitors on the same cable. Is there a way to manually set the bandwidth usage for each monitor even if it limits the resolution and/or refresh rate of the monitor? or do I have to use Displayport 1.3?
