    Hp Pavilion G6 2040ca

I upgraded the APU from the A6 4400m to  the A10 4600m and added 4 GB of memory. Heat has always been an issue but it will run almost everything.

Nice little project you've got there. Now just try to find a way to modify the stock cooler to a faster fan and better heat conducting paste and maybe you'll fix the heat issue.

I replaced the thermal paste with Arctic MX 4 but have not located a faster fan. HP laptops are not the best for cooling. I tried setting the bios to fan always on but it still slows down when the temp drops to about 60C which is not low enough to maintain a proper level. I would kill for a program that could keep the fan on all the time but none of them work with these models... I have tried them all. I am considering a cooling pad but need one that pushes air where the vent intakes are that doesn't cost a bundle.
