So my AMD RADEON R9 270 goes to 300-450 MHz clocks after a while of playing heavier games like Battlefield 4 and Mad Max, only solution to fix this is to restart the system.
How I can fix this? Drivers up-to date etc... HDMI connection
What temperatures is the GPU reaching?
What are your full system specs, os used and amd driver used? Did it occur on older Catalyst drivers?
GPU is about 60-75 celsius when playing, Windows 10 Home64-bit, Intel Core i7-4790, 16 GB DDR3 RAM, 16.1 crimson edition drivers,Motherboard: Acer predator g3-605 LGA1150, 931GB Western Digital WDC WD10EZEX-21M2NA0 (SATA), 119GB KINGSTON RBU-SMS100S3128GA (SSD). The problem have come with the crimson edition drivers i think and a little before them... been about 2-3 months the problem now.amdmatt
The temperatures are perfectly normal, but it sounds like your system has an issue with the drivers. I would consider rolling back to an older driver to resolve the issue and wait for our net driver update.
What would be the best drivers to downgrade to? Iam not really sure when the problem came so... :/ amdmatt
I tried 15.7 drivers, still had the problem...amdmatt
Please report the problem here, we'd like to investigate the issue.
All this was because the heatpad was totally destroyed because of the heat... First clocks down then it went as high as 100 celsius, no throttling happened.amdmatt
