radeon software 15.12 bugs on r9 290

Since the last update of catalyst software, I'm having to reboot my system (that previously only had to reboot for Windows updates) every time my screen goes to sleep mode...

I've got 3 monitors connected to my R9 290, 2 are my main monitors on my desk and the 3rd is my HDMI TV on which I watch Netflix etc.

My desk DVI monitors (1-2) are extended and the TV is mirrored on screen 1.

I always change audio source from desktop speakers to my Samsung TV when I watch something.

This setup always worked flawlessly with previous drivers/software but since the last catalyst update, whenever my monitors go to sleep (my computer never sleeps), I cannot recover without rebooting the system. Netflix will just stop playing in all browsers. It will load the main screen of a movie and just sit and hang there. The same with my media player Kodi. I can click on the timeline and it will advance to the next still image but not play and I cannot get ANY sound from the system anymore.

I can still see that the Samsung TV is connected. I can change the default sound device (and/or default communication device) from my desk monitors to my TV, back and forth, but it won't start working again until I completely reboot the system.

I've been checking my eventlogs for clues but there are no reports of any issues, let alone something that points towards the GPU or audio.
