AMD Driver Failed to Install

Specs:

1Tb + 120Gb SSD

16Gb RAM

Gigabyte H97M-D3H Motherboard

750W Coolermaster PSU

i7 Processor

R9 380 Sapphire

Win10 64 bit

Right so I bought a brand new Sapphire R9 380 and plugged it in to my PC and nothing is as it should be. I downloaded the latest drivers from the site and did a clean install, however when installing I got the message that the drivers couldn't be installed. I tried removing known drivers with DDU and reinstalling, still no dice. So then I tried to download an older driver and what happened was the fans on the card shot straight up to max and the screen blacked out. I uninstalled the driver and the card went back to being in idle state. Next I tried updating the card through windows updater, which yielded the same result: high fan speed and screen black out. I'm pretty sure I connected everything correctly, but the drivers just won't install properly...(I DID do the clean install)

It seems rather strange that I'm having this issue right out of the box...
Is there any way I can fix this problem?
