Hi all, this is my first time posting in any forum, so bear with me if I don't have the customs and whatnot down.

So I have this xfx r9 390x card, and it's working great through display port. However, when I try to connect it through DVI, it stops displaying after the windows startup logo. I'm not sure why this is. I tried to uninstall the driver, and managed to get the DVI to start displaying, but as soon as I reinstalled the driver, it stopped working again. I don't want to use the card without the latest drivers, as I use the card for gaming, and so need the drivers to play new games etc. For reference, I am using one AOC u2868pqu monitor, running at 4k. I've only had the monitor for a few days, and I believed this was an issue with the monitor, so had it replaced under warranty, but this problem is still occurring, so it must be something to do with the graphics card right?

Am I being dumb, is there an easy fix I am missing?
